I read! Not every edition sadly owing to time but that’s on me, not you. Love reading your work, and I relate with the journal vibes.

Thanks Emma! I am the same when it comes to the friends I follow on here as well. Hence my drama :)

I always adore your pieces Izzy!

And I know just how you feel: it's daunting seeing any number pop up on my dashboard. Lots of my essays start in my journal and then they're edited for public consumption, hahah.

Thank you so much! And same haha -- a lot of my work comes from my journal too.

I love this Izzy!

You might feel the same, but I've found the more subscribers I get (not that I'm exactly Substack famous lol), the more pressure I put on myself to write. I actually prefer some of the stuff I was putting out when it felt like it was just going out to the void!

- From someone who will always open your pieces when it's time to check my Substack inbox

Thank you for writing this! When I don't write it feels like something is missing and we get to grow as writers and explore new stories every time we get inspired :)

I loved reading this.

I know it’s a cliche, but the little “like” button is like a fly buzzing around one’s head a good deal of the time. When it leaves the room, the real writing begins.
