I’ve made a decision. I’m going to give my current characters a forehead kiss and let them hibernate in the ether. I’m going to open up a blank page and start something new.
It feels fitting to do this while starting a new chapter of my own. However, I’m not quite sure where to start. I’ve learned a lot from writing my first novel, and I don’t really have the ability to give this new one a lot of my attention at the moment. How can I work on this thing that is important to me without burning out?
There are three things I can start doing:
reading the three books about writing I have noted and the other online resources before I start writing again
used what I learned in my writing course by Rebecca Ross to start differently - plan it out a bit more
just go for it - just start writing

I’m not really in the mood to read books about writing right now, so next
I’m hesitant to plan anything before I start writing because that has made me stop writing before
Just writing appeals to me a lot, but I also think it’s why I struggled with plotting and planning after my first draft for this one
