Twenties the best years? Been there, done them, maybe not the best but not bad. I've also done the forties and the seventies and am in the middle of working on the eighties. No major complainants other than an aw to be a youthful 75 again knowing what I know now! (grin)

& yes the reading thingy's important, very important. Other's viewpoints, other's thoughts, experiences, imaginings all incorporate making yours more interesting, understandable, and when necessary, more bearable.

Nobody promised you fair no one can promise you easy but based on my own experience if you keep your eyes, ears and mind open I do believe you'll find some of it great fun, some quite delightful some, sure, OK not so much but all of it interesting. I did, and do.

Jim, your comments are always so meaningful. I was thinking something similar while I wrote this - college wasn't the best for years of my life but I did make my best friends. It doesn't have to be the best or the worst, often they come together.

Izzy I loved this - it felt like you read my mind! I also feel like feelings at this stage of life are so conflicting. It’s like I’m excited but I’m terrified, and I’m also blindfolded! Thank you for sharing this with us, I guarantee so many people will resonate with you ❤️

If it makes you feel better, I'm twenty nine and I don't know what the hell I'm doing with my life any better than I did at nineteen. At this point, I'm starting to wonder if anyone really knows what they're doing with their life or it's all just an illusion. I personally believe it's better to know that you don't it all than being under the false impression that you've got it all figured out.

I agree that I think it’s all an illusion! Everyone is always figuring something out and has something to learn

You are so valid for this Izzy! I'm 33 now and my friends are a touch older than me, and we recently said we only feel mildly like adults now. If at 18, we become baby adults, at 36 we become proper adults, so said my friend that recently turned 36.

Ageing is such a privilege, and I'm seeing it as the older I get, the more myself I become.

I'm 33 and my life is certainly better than my 20s but I wouldn't be where I am now if it wasn't for the confusion of my 20s. It will get better. You got this, Izzy.
