You know, I am far from the person I thought I’d be when I was a teenager.
On the other hand, I’m also far from the person I was when I was a teenager, and thank goodness for that.
When I was young, I thought I’d graduate college and naturally be an adult. I thought getting a job would be straightforward and that I’d love what I do, be impacting the world around me in a good way. I thought I’d have met my person in college and that we’d live together happily. Essentially, I believed that the moment I graduated college and became an official adult, life would fall into place.
I was completely ignorant.
