Harry Potter when I was in third grade? The Nightingale at twenty one? The Sister’s Grimm in middle school? Do I choose one from a favorite author - Fredrik Backman, Margaret Rogerson, Emily Henry? What about the horribly honest reality of The Poppy War? The ones that made me sob - Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine or The Song of Achilles?
The truth is that every book I’ve read has had a little role in shaping me into the human I am today. A piece of it wedges itself under my skin. I remember.
