I try really, really hard to not judge things by their cover. Some favorite books have, in my opinion, not as pretty covers. Some beautiful books I didn’t like very much. And that applies to everything in life.
However.
MFA Programs, in this article, I will be judging by its cover.
I have always wanted to get my masters degree. I love to learn and thrive in that setting. I thought it would be my MBA, but as my love of writing has grown this last year, my mom said I should look into MFA programs.
So, I did. And I didn’t quite like what I found.
Primarily, I enjoy writing fantasy. I enjoy diving into a brand new world and creating literal magic in my mind. I enjoy the challenge of it. I quickly realized that perhaps MFA programs don’t.
