Brief January Writing Challenge update: I find myself leaning back towards an idea I had. I’m definitely someone who likes to focus on one idea at a time, get to know my characters and world better. Writing quick creative prompts is rather challenging for me, and thus it’s also good for me. I do have two other fun ideas made out of it, though! While I dabbled in a first person horror prompt (shocking), I definitely find myself leaning into the fantasy words and nostalgia from my childhood. I am who I am!

The books below were easy for me to know. It’s like I recognize these books as I read them. I have the authors and books that made me want to write, and thus a sliver of my heart. I hope I can write as lyrically, develop characters as fully, help readers as deeply, and be okay with rejection.
